Canada Cup
Yukon Freestyle is excited to be hosting the 6th annual Canada Cup in Whitehorse, Yukon. The YFSA and Freestyle Canada (FC) are pleased to invite all freestyle ski athletes to attend the Yukon Canada Cup, December 4, 2024 to December 8, 2024. This is CANADA CUP stop number #1 in the Canada Cup Series presented by Toyo Tires.

The Whitehorse Glacier Bears are hosting their Yukon Invitational Championships on May 2-4 at the Canada Games Centre!

Kluane-Chilkat International Bike Relay

Yukon River Quest
Participants paddle 715 km on the Yukon River around the clock from Whitehorse to Dawson City with 10 hours of requisite rest.
What began in 1997 as a fun, historical retracing of the Gold Rush, this race has morphed into one of the top ultramarathon paddling races in the world. It regularly attracts paddlers from around the globe as they come to test their mettle through the remote Yukon wilderness. Categories include tandem, solo and four-person canoe, tandem and solo kayak, Voyageur canoe and SUP.

Klondike Road Relay
The 42nd running of the Klondike Road Relay is coming on September 5-6, 2025.

Canada Summer Games - TT Road Race
**Registration closes Sept 21**
The countdown to Canada Summer Games 2025 is on, and CAY is assembling a team of dedicated young cyclists to take to St. John’s, Newfoundland. Join us for the Fall 2024 athlete identification series for road and MTB!
The road event takes place along the Miles Canyon Road on Sunday, September 22nd at 11 am. Race check-in opens at 10 am and pre-race talk happens at 10:40 am.
The event is open to male athletes born 2005-2009 and female athletes born 2003-2009, but there is an adult competitive category, as well.
The course will be 2 and 1/4 laps of a 9km loop incorporating Miles Canyon Road, Alaska Highway and Robert Service Way. Athletes should park on the west side of Robert Service Way, across from YEC’s LNG storage facility. Please take care crossing the road!
Cross Country Championships
The annual Yukon Cross Country Championships is one of Athletics Yukon's most popular events
Location: Mt Mac Trails
Date: Saturday, September 21st. Sign in at 10:30am. Event starts at 11:00 am
All athletes must pre-register; there will be no day-of event registration.
Cost: Free for Athletic Yukon members and pre-authorized clubs (for authorization contact Kristen Johnston by email - president@athleticsyukon.ca )
Please note: You must have a 2024 Athletics Yukon Membership to participate. Visit our website to purchase your membership.
Events/distances for all ages (family friendly event). Distance varies by age category, but mostly follows a 1km and 2km Loop.

Super Equinox Event (Score O / Mini Rogaine)
What does Rogaine means? It stands for “Rugged Outdoor Group Activity Involving Navigation and Endurance”. It is essentially a long-distance Score-O type of orienteering event: you have a limited time to find as many controls as possible in any order and return to the finish.
Runners course all on trails or traditional Score O. A $5 YOA membership is required for insurance reasons.

Slamfest
Get ready to ride! Slamfest is back at Mt. Sima on August 30th!
Mt. Sima presents two categories: Intermediate on Drop the Clutch and Advanced on Lefty Loosey, so whether you're refining your skills or ready to push your limits, there's a spot for you!

The Chocolate Claim 10 Miler
This year the annual Chocolate Claim will occur on August 24, 2024. The event is free for Athletics Yukon members.
Sign in opens at 9:45 AM with the race begining at 10:00 AM.

YRF Summer Rugby Tournament
The YRF will be hosting 3 tournaments within Whitehorse this summer. Players of all experience are welcome to sign up to participate in these tournaments. There will be youth games, coed touch games, and senior full contact games.
The game dates are:
Tuesday May 7th from 3:30 - 5 at the FHC field
Saturday June 8th from 12 - 4 at the PCSS field
Saturday August 24th from 12 - 4 at the PCSS field.

Yukon Fat Tire Fever
Yukon Fat Tire Fever is a new style of cross-country mountain bike event.
Instead of riders being timed from start to finish, we time just a few sections of the route. Whoever has the fastest combined time on both uphills and downhills wins.
Hardened riders will take on the entire 60 km route themselves, in the Solo category.
For those looking for some friendly competition and a fun, memorable experience, Yukon Fat Tire Fever also has a 2-person team category. Each person will ride 30 km (half of the route).

Yukon Champs
This is a fun event for all! Flatwater North encourage all participants from all their programs and the general public to come out and join us for this event.
The event is held at the Schwatka Lake Day Use Area.
Race distances for all sprint kayak & canoe, SUP, and marathon bots are from: 200m, 500m, 1500m, as well as 500m team boat events.
*with a fun 100m "try a sprint boat race"
A kayak relay and a tub rec canoe c4 to close out the event
The club can provide all the gear needed to race. There will be a BBQ with hot dogs, burgers, and drinks provided.

Yukon River Trail Marathon
This year the Yukon River Trail Marathon celebrates their 25th anniversary event!
All three races—marathon, half-marathon, and relay—will start and finish at Shipyards Park due to planned construction at Rotary Park.

Whitehorse Water Rodeo
This annual event showcases the talent Yukon Canoes & Kayak Club members have. With multiple events over a variety of disciplines, there are participation opportunities for all skill levels. With a BBQ and beer garden, this a great time to catch up after a busy paddling summer. Registration starts at 4PM at the Rotary Centennial Walking Bridge, with events starting at 5:30PM. BBQ will be hosted at the YCKC Bins after the final event (5 Selkirk St).
Try Derby
Have you been interested in roller derby, but maybe too afraid to try it out? Come put on some skates and and experience it firsthand for an evening, and if you love it the Yukon Roller Derby Association will be hosting a 12 practice learn to skate program starting in August! Registration is necessary - see YRDA’s facebook page for details!
2024 Road Championships
Did you know that the Cycling Association’s road cycling affiliates at U Kon Echelon have been working their tires off behind the scenes to plan a 4-stage race? Just for CFY?
That’s right: A time trial, a circuit, a criterium, and a road race are all planned out and coming your way soon. Starting Wednesday, July 24th until Saturday, July 27th, the Yukon Road Championships are four races to push yourself against fellow athletes with races from 30 - 120 minutes and food/prizes provided. The events are free for CFY members and $20 for non-members
