Snowboard Yukon wants to celebrate an awesome season of snowboarding together at the 2025 Yukon Champs!
This event is open to all snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Come out for two days of fun shredding and competition at Mt. Sima in Whitehorse!
…and have you heard about our FAM JAM Trophy?! It’s awarded at the end of the weekend to the Yukon’s top snowboarding family! Points are earned each time a family member competes in an event. The more participation, the more points, so bring the whole family!

Sailing Drop In Nights Begins
Join Yukon Breeze Sailing Society for an evening of recreational dinghy sailing. If sailors are interested, they’ll also drop the marks for a bit of a race or so you can practice your skills rounding marks. Bring your own boat or use one of theirs. Depending on conditions, previous sailing experience may be required.
Their safety boat is in the water for our drop in programming.
They also rent paddleboards for less windy nights & for people who may not be as keen to sail but want to get out on the water.

The Kluane-Chilkat International Bike Relay will be held on June 21, 2025 from from Haines Junction to Haines!

Yukon River Quest
Yukon River Quest will be held on June 25-28, 2025 from Whitehorse to Dawson City.
Paddlers come from around the world to test their endurance, racing day and night to the Klondike on one of North America’s great rivers. It is open to solo and tandem canoes and kayaks, solo stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), and bigger C4 and Voyageur canoes. Participants paddle 715 km on the Yukon River around the clock from Whitehorse to Dawson City with 10 hours of requisite rest.
What began in 1997 as a fun, historical retracing of the Gold Rush, this race has morphed into one of the top ultramarathon paddling races in the world. It regularly attracts paddlers from around the globe as they come to test their mettle through the remote Yukon wilderness. Categories include tandem, solo and four-person canoe, tandem and solo kayak, Voyageur canoe and SUP.

Lapie River Festival
The Lapie is a gem of a river near Ross River Yukon. With multiple sections of varying difficulty, this event is great for paddlers of all skill levels! YCKC home-base will be at Mushroom Camp, with lots of free camping space. If there is interest, they will also bring up the club raft for the kiddos! Yukon Fat Tire Fever
Yukon Fat Tire Fever is a new style of cross-country mountain bike event that's focused on fun! Ride solo or as a 2-person team on Whitehorse's finest XC mountain bike singletrack, including trails alongside the legendary Yukon River. Hardened riders will take on the entire route themselves.
For those looking for some friendly competition and a memorable experience, Yukon Fat Tire Fever also has a 2-person team category. Each person will ride half of the route.
Instead of riders being timed from start to finish, they time just a few sections of the route.
Whomever has the fastest combined time on uphills and downhills wins, but above all they want everyone to simply participate and have fun. This is not an "enduro" race although the format is similar to enduro racing.

Watson Lake Spring Camp
Snowboard Yukon is proud to host a 2-day snowboard camp in Watson Lake again this year during Spring Break!
The camp is open riders aged 8+ and all ability levels. We will divide participants based on their ability on the day of the camp.
Requirements:
Riders must be 8 years of age or older.
Helmets are mandatory.
When: Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23, 2025 from 11:30am-4:00pm
Where: Mount Maichen
Price: $50 2-day camp, plus recreational membership ($25).
Rentals, Lift Ticket and membership are not included in the price.

Fireweed Runners Spring Break Camp
This year's Fireweed Running Camp is focused on wellness and is open to anyone who identifies as female. Daily activities will centre around movement, self-care, and community involvement. Activities will include running, cooking, and strength-building programs and games. In addition to daily running sessions, the camp will feature themed days covering: puberty changes & self-care, Internet safety and food & body image
The camp will also include art, crafts, escape rooms, and movement-based games.
Participants will explore other leisure activities in the community, such as pickleball, martial arts, and volunteer opportunities.

Snowshoe Fest
They will have 2.5km and 5km loppet trails marked for you to explore the sunny trails of Biathlon Yukon. And new this year: Ecoaims (optical shooting devices, no live ammo or loud noises) will be available to use for the true biathlon experience!
The gates (on Grey Mountain Road) will open at 1:00pm. The "races" will start at 1:30pm. Snowshoers of all ages are welcome to participate at their own level: competitive, leisurely, whatever feels right! Following the snowshoeing, they’ll have snacks and hot drinks around a campfire.

The Whitehorse Nordic Centre will be hosting the Canadian Masters XC Ski Championships. 2 shorts distance races are scheduled for Feb 19th and 20th late afternoon. Friday Feb 21st will be a rest day and then 2 long distance races will take place over Saturday 22nd and 23rd. Course Preview: Bill Gairdner National Championships
Dahria Beatty, a Yukon athlete, and twice Olympian, will take you through each part of the 10 km courses for the Canadian Masters Championships.
During the sessions, participants will ski the courses with Dahria and discuss technique choices, race strategies, and tactics for each section of the course.

Take A Friend Snowmobiling Group Ride
Do you know someone who doesn't snowmobile, but might be interested in trying it? Bring them along and join the Klondike Snowmobile Association for their annual Take A Friend Snowmobiling Ride!
This year's ride will be on Sunday February 9th, departing at 10:00am from the Copper Haul Road / Fish Lake Road staging area. They’ll be sticking to easy trails and taking lots of breaks so riders of all skill levels and snowmobiles of all types are welcome to come.

Course Preview: Bill Gairdner National Championships
Dahria Beatty, a Yukon athlete, and twice Olympian, will take you through each part of the 10 km courses for the Canadian Masters Championships.
During the sessions, participants will ski the courses with Dahria and discuss technique choices, race strategies, and tactics for each section of the course.
If you are planning to race at the Canadian Masters, this is the perfect opportunity to increase your home course advantage!

Biathlon Yukon - GMC 3 Mass
Competition dates have been set for the coming season, and officials will be needed for all competitions. If you are interested in volunteering stay tuned for emails telling you how to sign up. All are welcome - no training necessary (training is day of).
Registrations are due not later than Wednesday prior to each event (Coaches to submit list of participating athletes) if you are a member of Biathlon Yukon.

The 8th annual Lights Out Yukon Invitational Basketball Tournament will start on January 30, 2024!
Ready to get your game on? They are excited to host yet another year of competition and camaraderie. Register by the December 13th deadline.

Dawson City Fat Bike Blues
Join fat bike ultra-athlete Jessie Gladish and friends for two days of fat biking fun in Dawson City! You’ll be treated to group rides along the Yukon River, a tour of historic sites and snowy singletrack in the local mountains.
