Bio: Emily was born and raised in Whitehorse where she began skiing in the Jackrabbit program at age 4. She worked her way through the Yukon Ski Team programs and after high school decided to pursue skiing at the highest level. Emily currently resides in Canmore, Alberta where she has been a member of Canada’s Senior National Team for the past 5 years.
Emily has had a very successful ski career to date, and is seeing consistent improvement every year. Emily represented Canada at the 2014 Olympics as well as the World Championships in 2013 and 2015.
During the previous season, Emily had an international breakthrough on the incredibly competitive World Cup by breaking into the top 30 on three occasions. Emily’s best result was a 23rd place in a World Cup in Finland. This was a huge achievement for Emily as well as for Canadian skiing, as it had been over 2 years since a Canadian female athlete has achieved this benchmark in a distance race. Emily was able to cap off her season by winning a National Championship title. Emily has established herself as the top ranked female distance skier in Canada as a result of her consistent performance this past season
