Bio: Dahria began skiing at 3 years of age in the Jackrabbits program at the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club. At 8 years of age, she joined Orange Squad, the youngest training program of the Yukon Ski Team and progressed through the program, from Green, Blue and to Red Squad. Dahria’s first ski competition outside the Yukon was the 2004 Arctic Winter Games. She was only 9 years old, and she skied up 2 categories against girls four years older. She has been going out to ski for Yukon at every opportunity since. Dahria now trains in Canmore, Alberta at the Alberta World Cup Academy, one of Canada’s four National Development Centres.
Dahria’s highlights during the season were being named to the Senior National Ski Team for the first time. She won her first Senior NORAM race in Sovereign Lake, BC when she finished first in a 15km skate race on December 12, 2014. She had a best international result at the U23 World Championships in Almaty, KAZ with a 20th place finish in the 1.4 km individual classis sprint and competed in her first European World Cup in Lahti, FIN when she finished 65th in a 1.5 km individual classic sprint. She also won her first Senior National title when she won the 5km skate race at the Nationals, in TB on March, 2015.
