Year Received: 2003 & 2004

Bio: Mackenzie moved into the National swimming scene competing against swimmers who have swum at the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.  In February, at the Western Canadian Short Course Championships in Regina, SK Mackenzie received a Gold Medal in the 100m Butterfly, and a Silver Medal in the 200m Butterfly.  In May, at the 2003 Mel Zajac Invitational in Vancouver, BC Mackenzie won a Silver Medal in the 50 m Fly and in June at the 2003 World Championships and Pan Am Trials and National Championships held in Victoria, BC Mackenzie finished with a Silver Medal behind Olympian Jennifer Button in the 50m Fly and also finished with a Fourth Place finish is the 100m Fly and a Ninth Place finish in the 200m Fly.  Mackenzie is a very conscientious and an extremely dedicated athlete and a great role model for other swimmers in the club and throughout the Yukon.
