Bio: In 2023, Penny coached Jaymi Hinchey who won Gold at the US Winter Nationals in California the -52Kg female category (U21), and captured Bronze at the Canada Winter Games in PEI which both in the -57Kg female category. Younger sister Lia Hinchey at the Canadian Open Nations secured Bronze in the -57Kg female category (U16). Male judoka Liam Gishler earned Silver at the BC provincials in the senior-intermediate division and Jaymi awarded Gold in the -57Kg female category (U18) and Bronze in the senior- intermediate division with Lia a Bronze & Leah McLean a Silver in the -63kg (U16) at the same BC tournament.

Penny Prysnuk coaches Team Yukon at Provincial championships, National championships, and CWG.

She knows success isn't just about skill and strategy, but more so about building the right mindset. Penny will take the time to know each and every one of her athletes to allow them to build confidence and also resilience. She always encourages them to set clear and measurable goals, and she individually advises them on how to achieve those goals.
