Bio: The Gold medal team was comprised of 16 players from 4 different communities in Yukon; Dawson City (2), Haines Junction (1), Watson Lake (2) and Whitehorse (11). The Bantam (C2) Angles on Ice Hockey Tournament held in Langley B.C was the girls first of the year, and it came down to an exciting shootout in the final to claim the victory. Their record over the weekend was 4 wins and 1 loss, not to mention an impressive rush to the Vancouver Airport following the win to catch a plane home. All of the girls played on various teams and different divisions in Yukon throughout the year, and did their best to come together for training whenever possible which speaks to their team work and commitment to growing girl’s hockey in the Territory.
