Bio: Sonjaa Schmidt is the first Canadian Woman to claim the World Champion Title at 2024's U23 Nordic World Ski Championships. She finished 36th at the World U23 Championships in the previous season!

She is ranked 5th overall in distance. Internationally, Sonjaa is ranked 60th in the Sprint World Cup Rankings. She also represented Canada at the World Cup in Finland, Norway and Switzerland in November and December 2024.
