Bio: In 2020, Sophia was the head organizer and Chief of Results for all races at the Biathlon facility, including: AWG trials for ski biathlon, AWG trials for Snowshoe Biathlon (two separate races), Yukon Championships, Grey Mountain Cup Biathlon races (3 in 2020) and Grey Mtn. Invitational Ski Race. She ensured all COVID-19 procedures were incorporated into races and were followed. In addition to all of these outstanding commitments, Sophia goes above and beyond, by organizing or providing snacks for all athletes at races, laundering the athletes’ bibs, traveling with teams to provide support, posting biathlon events and news in social media and holding the position of Secretary on Board of Directors of Biathlon Yukon. Biathlon Yukon is lucky to have such an amazingly dedicated volunteer as part of their organization.
