A huge thank you to visiting pro Gerry Macken for a great week last week of lessons, clinics, and the instructor certification course. This is the 6th year of Gerry coming to Whitehorse, and this year he put in 80 hours in 8 days !!

Thanks to court maintenance fund proceeds from the 2012 season and Lotteries Yukon, we have 4 new benches at the courts.

Court Use
Every week we are posting the program court use on the website and at the courts.
Tennis Yukon programs only ever use 2 courts, leaving 2 for play, except for occasional special events like tournaments.
In July, generally:
Lessons in the mornings, 8-11 am and evenings 4-7 pm.
League play has 2 courts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 7-9 pm.
Camp court use in July:
July 2-5, 1-4 pm
July 8-12 9 am-noon
July 22-26, 1-4 pm
July 29-Aug 2, 9 am-noon

Hillside update
If you have to retrieve balls behind the backboard, please be VERY careful.  The City is working on the slope and the hillside is very unstable.  There have large boulders coming down and landing behind the backboard, which would cause serious injury if they struck a player.

Please remember to lock up after yourself at the courts and please use the trash bins for garbage.
