COVID 19 Financial Relief for Families with Children in K-12

Frequently asked questions:

  • What if I share custody of the student(s) with another parent/caregiver? If you have shared custody and the student(s) live in two households, ONLY ONE HOUSEHOLD can apply – only ONE PRIMARY CAREGIVER can apply for each student. You will need to decide which household applies.
  • When will I receive the payment? Once your application is reviewed and verified to be correct, your payment will be mailed to you and you can expect it to take 3-4 weeks.
  • HOME SCHOOL – Home educating families will need to apply to Sport Yukon by June 19th and include proof of purchases to receive your reimbursement, such as receipts for educational materials or increased costs in the amount of $250 (per child) with your application.  These receipts cannot have been submitted previously and must be over and above the $1,200 you have already submitted for reimbursement.  All submitted receipts must be dated between July 2019 and June 2020.
