Judo Yukon Summer Camp 2017

May 1, 2017

Judo Yukon has booked Tina Takahshi and her husband Sean MacFayden, to be our special guest instructors this year! (see attachment for some info)

Our hope is to have a maximum of 30 judo kids sign up!

The full day camp will start with an 8:15am drop off, with full gym activities and team games.

A morning judo session will be followed by lunch (Campers are to bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks).
After lunch we will be outside for 1-2 hours minimum :(weather dependent)
-Braveheart ( a judo Sask version of capture the flag)
-Fish ladder walk / sand hill climb
-Hidden Lakes hike & swim
-Rotary Park walk & water park free time
-Friday will be a choice to repeat one of the above.or a new outdoor activity -decided Thursday afternoon)

Each day will finish with a second judo ‘on mat’ session, and a period of quiet / free time for crafts and social activities while waiting for pickup at 4:30pm

Cost of this camp (we hope to break even as cost are high to bring in the guest instructors from Ottawa) are:
$250 per camper
Special family rates will be applied if you have more than one sibling attending.

Campers must be at least 7 years old to participate in this camp.

Out of Town Friends: we have more than a few Whitehorse families that have offered for judoka stay in their homes for camps and tournaments. Please do not turn down this opportunity to train with an advanced judo role model due to the high cost of hotel rooms. Let me know and we can find a suitable host for you.
